I would like you to believe it is because i was studying so hard for my essay that is for friday.. but to tell the truth i have only got the books, opened a few and glanced but nothing proper, clearly i have not changed since 1st year :/ not sure whether thats a good thing or a bad thing.
so the chat now is that i am on placement, and my client group is people with schizophrenia, now i cant say much about it as its all confidential, but i will tell you the basics, incase any of you have no idea what it is. :)
Hallucinations are completely amazing to hear about from the patients themselves, talking about what they hear, smell and see, its so outstanding, i am taking aback when i hear the stories that they tell. Its such an odd but brilliant experience to hear about. Although i will never understand what they go through its very scary in a way to hear what happens to them. They are disturbed and tortured with what their brains trick them into hearing and seeing, they can't escape from it in any way, it must be horrible for them, when they talk about it, its so vivid i can see it happening, they attempt to kill themselves just to get away from the voices shouting at them and the hallucinations that they see. It scares me hearing about it, i actually started tearing up when one patient was telling me their experience and what happens to them. It scare me but at the same time it is so interesting. It may seem like i dont care about them because i'm saying its a brilliant experience, but i mean that in a way that is shocking and breath taking, i dont know what to say! they are tormented all the time with the voices and what they see. Saying that though if you walk down the street you couldnt pick out someone with schizophrenia, hey act pretty much like regular people but then when they tell their stories, it just leaves me speechless.
ANYWAYYY, mamma and pappa are off to Zante for 2 weeks... BRILLIANT, hahah, cannot imagine them there at all.
Goodbye followers of little red x x x
